Registration for next year
It is time to register for our 2016-17 school year! Many of you took advantage of our in house registration time, and classes have filled up quickly. Open registration begins March 1st, let your friends and neighbors know about the amazing programs we offer here at The Winner School. Dance is just part of what is offered. The preschool program and after school programs are phenomenal. There are also Summer camps (ages 2 years old- 9th grade), Basketball camps, Karate, Tumbling, Music, Drama, and Swim programs.
Spring Break
Spring Break for our Intro through RzDz 6-10 classes will be observed March 28th-29th. Please note that this is different from the Spring Break dates that are being observed by our Dazzles, Stars, and Company programs. If you have dancers that are also involved in any of these groups, please refer to their class calendars for their Spring Break dates.
Spring GP Pictures
GP pictures in our recital costumes are coming soon! Pictures will be taken on April 5th for classes that attend on Tuesdays & Thursdays. Pictures will be taken on April 6th for classes that attend on Monday & Wednesdays, Wednesdays only, and Wednesdays & Fridays. Pictures are taken during regular class time, in place of class. Dancers are dismissed after photos are taken.
Dancers wear their recital costumes for Spring pictures. Hair is in a "princess bun", make-up is at your discretion for Intros and RzDz 4 dancers. Hair is in "princess bun" and competition make-up for our RzDz 5K, RzDz 5-7, and RzDz 6-10 dancers.
Costumes will be ready for pick up at the end of March. The balance, after the $50 deposit made in January, will be due at the time of pick up.
Studio Showcase tickets
Tickets for our studio showcase go on sale in The Winner School Store at 7am on April 13th. Our studio showcase is held in Judge Memorial High School's auditorium. Tickets are $10 a piece. It is reserved seating for the studio showcase. Please make sure to purchase tickets, they do sell very quickly.

Progression Night
We are excited that it is time to show parents the hard work we have put in the past couple months! We are ready to share with you some of what we have learned this year, and give a sneak peak into our recital pieces for the Studio showcase in May!
Hopefully you have seen your February calendars. Each class calendar contained the specific Progression Recital session times for that class. Here is another reminder with call times for those classes. The call time is the time dancers should be in room 4 at The Winner School. Intro (light blue leo) and RzDz 4 (purple leo) should arrive in their leotard, pink ballet tights and tap shoes on. RzDz 5K, RzDz 5-7 and RzDz 6-10 should arrive in their black leotard & multi-color print class shorts, bare legs and tap shoes on. Please have their ballet shoes out for us to collect and label. The Winner School Dance staff and The Winner School Dayschool staff will be in room 4 to supervise and help our dancers change into their ballet shoes. Please do not leave their bags, or any personal belongings of theirs, in room 4. Their hair should be in a bun on the crown of their head. If their hair is too short to be pulled into a bun, please secure it back with clips. The hair bow, that was paid for in The Winner School Store, will be given to your dancer at that time.

Our parking is limited, however the Slavic Evangelical Baptist Church (Just South of The Winner School) has graciously given us permission to park in their parking lot.

Progression Recital Rehearsal....
Saturday, January 23rd is our Progression recital dress rehearsal. It will be held at The Winner School, in the gym. Please be on time! Rehearsals will be closed to parents, we are using this time to get familiar with the space. Please have your dancer dressed in their class uniform, bring ballet shoes and tap shoes. Please have their hair pulled back in a bun. If your dancer's hair is too short for a bun, please have their hair secured off of their face with clips. We are so excited to be preparing for this special night for our Intro and Razzle Dazzle dancers!

Deposits and fees due
A $50 costume deposit is due in The Winner School Store by Friday, January 15th. It is extremely important that these deposits get paid. We cannot order costumes, for the entire class, until we have all of the deposits for that class. The longer we have to wait to order costumes, the more likely it is that shipping dates will be too late for our April GP Pictures, or the costumes become unavailable. Please get this deposit paid by Friday, or sooner. The remaining balance will become due in April prior to pictures being taken.
Also please confirm that you have paid $10 for your Progression Recital bow. These bows will be distributed on the day of the performance.

We will be working in the month of January to prepare for our Progression recital. We have dress rehearsal times set for Saturday, January 23rd in the Winner School gym. We have given each age group 45 minutes to become familiar with the large space. It is important that you are on time, we will start each age group exactly on time.
Intro's (age 3, light blue leotard): 11:15 am- 12:00 pm
RzDz 4's (purple leotard): 12:00 pm- 12:45 pm
RzDz 5K (M/W 2:00 pm class & T/TH 4:15 pm): 12:45 pm- 1:30 pm
RzDz 5-7 & RzDz 6-10: 1:30 pm- 2:15 pm
Dancers should wear their class uniform, hair pulled into a "princess" bun. Bring ballet and tap shoes.

Assigned Sessions for 2016 Progression Recital:
Our progression recital is an opportunity for parents to see
the individual progression of their child in the three dance genres (jazz,
ballet, and tap) that are taught in our Intro and Razzle Dazzle dance
program. We showcase the progressive
nature of our dance program through having a class from each age group in all
sessions.
The Progression Recital will be held on Saturday, February 6th
2016 at The Winner School in the gym. It
will be held in three separate sessions, your class has been assigned a
specific time. This is an intimate venue. The performance is primarily intended
for parents, and possibly grandparents.

Events in December:
December 12th, 11 am- 2 pm: Parent Date Day! This is a great opportunity to get some holiday errands completed, or just enjoy a quiet lunch date before the Holiday season really goes into full swing! The Winner School has a charity fundraiser each month where children ages 2-12 can come to The Winner School and enjoy age appropriate group activities. Lunch will be served. There is a minimum donation of $25. Anyone is invited to utilize this service, including children who do not regularly attend The Winner School. In honor of the cherished Holiday memories that we all have, all proceeds, including volunteer Winner School employees hourly wages, will be donated to Alzheimer's. All donations are tax detectable. Sign up is available at the front desk. You may sign up in person or over the phone.
December 16th, 17th, 18th: Christmas Class parties! Check you calendars for class specific dates. We will have fun dance games and activities. Please still dress for dance, as some of activities will involve dancing.
December 18th: If you have not already paid the $10 for your Progression recital hair bow, please do so by the 18th.
December 21st- January 3rd: Winter Recess, No dance class. Enjoy your break! Regular classes resume January 4th.

Please bring your child regardless of your intent to purchase pictures, we want the entire class to be represented in the group photo. Order form sheets were sent attached with the November calendars, and extras will be available at the time of photos being taken.
