The Studio Showcase is an exciting and dynamic Studio wide dance recital. This will give you, your family members and your young dancers the opportunity to see our program from our little 3 year old intros to our graduating seniors in The Senior Company and The Principal Company. It is a fantastic show! Our Dazzles, Stars and Company programs are phenomenal!<br />

The showcase takes place on May 14th at Judge Memorial High School, 650 S. 1100 E. SLC, UT 84102. The Showcase starts at 5:00 pm.<br />

It is time to register for our 2016-17 school year! Many of you took advantage of our in house registration time, and classes have filled up quickly. Open registration begins March 1st, let your friends and neighbors know about the amazing programs we offer here at The Winner School. Dance is just part of what is offered. The preschool program and after school programs are phenomenal. There are also Summer camps (ages 2 years old- 9th grade), Basketball camps, Karate, Tumbling, Music, Drama, and Swim programs.<br />

<u><strong>Spring Break</strong></u><br />
Spring Break for our Intro through RzDz 6-10 classes will be observed March 28th-29th. Please note that this is different from the Spring Break dates that are being observed by our Dazzles, Stars, and Company programs. If you have dancers that are also involved in any of these groups, please refer to their class calendars for their Spring Break dates.<br />

Tickets for our studio showcase go on sale in The Winner School Store at 7am on April 13th. Our studio showcase is held in Judge Memorial High School's auditorium. Tickets are $10 a piece. It is reserved seating for the studio showcase. Please make sure to purchase tickets, they do sell very quickly.<br />

We are excited that it is time to show parents the hard work we have put in the past couple months! We are ready to share with you some of what we have learned this year, and give a sneak peak into our recital pieces for the Studio showcase in May!<br />

Hopefully you have seen your February calendars. Each class calendar contained the specific Progression Recital session times for that class. Here is another reminder with call times for those classes. The call time is the time dancers should be in room 4 at The Winner School. Intro (light blue leo) and RzDz 4 (purple leo) should arrive in their leotard, pink ballet tights and tap shoes <strong>on</strong>. RzDz 5K, RzDz 5-7 and RzDz 6-10 should arrive in their black leotard & multi-color print class shorts, <strong>bare legs </strong>and tap shoes on. Please have their ballet shoes out for us to collect and label. The Winner School Dance staff and The Winner School Dayschool staff will be in room 4 to supervise and help our dancers change into their ballet shoes. Please do not leave their bags, or any personal belongings of theirs, in room 4. Their hair should be in a bun on the crown of their head. If their hair is too short to be pulled into a bun, please secure it back with clips. The hair bow, that was paid for in The Winner School Store, will be given to your dancer at that time.<br />

December 12th, 11 am- 2 pm: Parent Date Day! This is a great opportunity to get some holiday errands completed, or just enjoy a quiet lunch date before the Holiday season really goes into full swing! The Winner School has a charity fundraiser each month where children ages 2-12 can come to The Winner School and enjoy age appropriate group activities. Lunch will be served. There is a minimum donation of $25. Anyone is invited to utilize this service, including children who do not regularly attend The Winner School. In honor of the cherished Holiday memories that we all have, all proceeds, including volunteer Winner School employees hourly wages, will be donated to Alzheimer's. All donations are tax detectable. Sign up is available at the front desk. You may sign up in person or over the phone. <br />

December 16th, 17th, 18th: Christmas Class parties! Check you calendars for class specific dates. We will have fun dance games and activities. Please still dress for dance, as some of activities will involve dancing.<br />

December 18th: If you have not already paid the $10 for your Progression recital hair bow, please do so by the 18th.<br />

December 21st- January 3rd: Winter Recess, No dance class. Enjoy your break! Regular classes resume January 4th.<br />

GP Pictures are this week! Specific dates for each class are on the November calendars. There will be no regular class on the day of pictures. Dancers will be excused immediately after individual and group pictures are taken. Dancers will wear their class uniform. Intro and RZDZ 4 dancers will wear pink ballet tights, which can be purchased in The Winner School Store, with their class leotard. Please bring all their shoes. There is no set hair do for Fall pictures, you may do their hair however you would like. Make-up is optional, and at your discretion. <br />
Pictures must be ordered, and paid for, prior to individual pictures being taken. Please bring your child regardless of your intent to purchase pictures, we want the entire class to be represented in the group photo. Order form sheets were sent attached with the November calendars, and extras will be available at the time of photos being taken.<br />

We are in our FINAL week prior to our Studio Showcase! We are so excited for our dancers to perform. <br />

All Intro (pink polka dot uniform) and RZDZ 4 (turquoise polka dot uniform) dancers will have their hair in a princess bun. EXCEPT for the T/TH RZDZ 4 class that has a cowboy hat with their costume, they will have their hair in two low ponytails.<br />
<br />
All RZDZ 5K, RZDZ 5-7, and RZDZ 7-10 dancers will have their hair in a low ponytail. Parted on the right side, swept to the left, no bangs, curled and sprayed.<br />

Parents please check that you have all pieces of your dancer's costume.<br />

<strong><u>ALL</u></strong> RZDZ 5K, 5-7 and 7-10 dancers also have a Tap costume they need to bring, their black class leotard, tan fishnet tights, red gloves, tan tap shoes. I will give them their hat at the performance.<br />
Please also do an at home competition bag check. Your dancer should bring their competition bag with them to the Studio Showcase.<br />

This is a good illustration of the placement on the head for our dancers. The competition dancers need a rolled or "sock" bun. This is achieved best by using an accessory that looks like this:<br />

If you don't already have one, they can be purchased at almost any drug store, and may also be available in The Winner School Store.<br />
Non competitive dancers (Intro 3's and RZDZ 4's) can do a twisted or rolled bun. This is the hair style for GP Pictures, Thunderstruck competition (if applicable), and the Studio Showcase. The only class that is an exception to this is Ms. Tracy's T/TH RZDZ 4 class, they will wear two low ponytails to accommodate their hat. <br />
