**Competitions may run as early as 1-2 hours ahead! Please plan to be in the dressing room at your CALL TIME.

10:30-11:30 Master Class with Alex Clark - This class is free and open to all competing dancers; they will scan the bag tag you receive at Dress Rehearsal for admission into the class.

Reminders for all Razzle Dazzle dancers and parents (Mr. Zebra, Beauty in the World, Live Your Life) :

• Dancers should arrive in their Winner School T-shirts, not costumes!
• Hair (pompadour, 1 braid on the right, high pony, flat ironed) and make-up should be done, lipstick upon arrival.
• Parents please walk your dancer back to the dressing room and check in with their teacher
• Please pick-up your dancer immediately after performing, in the dressing room.
• All dancers MUST attend awards in their WS T-shirt. Dancers will sit together on the stage with the girls in their class.
• The Master Class is optional.

** Bag Check and Full Dress Rehearsal are Wednesday, March 5th or Thursday, March 6th during regular class. Dancers should arrive in Winner School T-shirt with full hair and make-up (just like they will need to have done on Saturday). Releve' Bag tags will be passed out at Dress Rehearsal; you will need this tag to attend the Master Class and to receive your Participation Award.

Saturday February 22nd, there will be rehearsal  

for all 5K and 5-7 dancers.

10am-Noon

Hair and make-up clinic will be from 10-10:30am.

 Please make every effort to be there.

Upcoming Events:

COSTUMES: Costume prices this year will include: costume, hair accessory, tights, jazz gore boots, red Razzle Dazzle team t-shirt and BA Star red lip pencil. Costumes will be ready for pick-up after January 17^th .

COMPETITION REHEARSALS: To make sure our dancers are prepared for Releve Dance Competition, we will be having extra rehearsals on February 15^th (for dances: Live Your Life-Miss Emily & Beauty in the World-Miss Kellie) and 22^nd (All competing dancers). Saturday February 15^th we will be practicing from 10-11:00am in ROOM 4 (Live Your Life) or 11:00-NOON (Beauty in the World). Saturday, February 22^nd we will be practicing from 10:00am- NOON. Both of these rehearsals are mandatory.

HAIR & MAKE-UP: Saturday, February 22^nd  10-10:30am, there will be a hair and make-up clinic for parents, at the Winner School. Dancers must have uniform hair and make-up for competition. Hair style and make-up technique will be demonstrated on this Saturday. Make-up kits are available in the Winner School Store, but are not required for purchase this year. We encourage you to buy one, but if you choose not to, you will need to match the colors as closely as possible with the make-up you already have at home. Make-up colors are shown on the BLOG (www.wsrzdz.blogspot.com).  All dancers must wear the BA STAR red lip pencil, it is included with your dancers costume. Please make arrangements to be at the clinic on Saturday.

BAG CHECK: Before every competition we do a performance  bag inspection. Performance bags should be separate from regular dance class bags, and must contain all the items on the “BAG CHECK” list. Bag inspection will be March 5th or 6th during regular class time.

DRESS REHEARSAL: WEDNESDAY or THURSDAY, MARCH 5TH or 6TH dancers should come to class with full hair and make-up. If your dancer has school, and rides the bus on this day, we ask you to send them to school with performance hair, and send all their make-up in their performance bag. Performance bags may be dropped off at the Winner School in the morning so that they do not go to school with your child.

RELEVE’ DANCE COMPETITION: MARCH 8^th Val A Browning Center For The Performing Arts 901 University Cir Ogden, UT 84408 . Entry fees for competition are due in the Store on February 19^th . The cost is $ 25. We do not have the exact times yet, but will pass on that information as soon as we receive it. Please be aware that call times can be as early as 7:00am. For this reason we recommend getting a hotel room in Ogden, close to the Weber State Campus.

Dance Attack is a semi-annual Dance Convention put on by The Winner School and our sister studios, The Dance Club and Dance Impressions. Winter Dance Attack is 2 days full of classes that will develop each dancer’s technique and choreography skills. It is also a chance for our dancers to bond together as we head into competition season. It is optional for all Razzle Dazzle dancers ages 5 and up. The cost is $190.00

What to Expect:

·        Registration 2/7 @ 3-4:00 pm. Check in and get your wristband and other goodies. The ladies at check in will tell you where to go from here.

·        Opening Ceremonies 2/7 @ 4:00-4:15 pm. We will all sit together at Opening Ceremonies so no one feels left out or alone. Look for the other Winner School dancers or the red balloons. Opening ceremonies will introduce you to the staff and give important instructions for the day. Parents are welcome.

·        Classes Begin 2/7 @ 4:15-9:00pm.  Please make sure to pick-up your dancer promptly at 9:00! Dinner is included on this day.

·        Classes Begin 2/8 @ 10:00am- 4:00pm. Lunch is included on this day.

·        Classes are closed to parents and friends until the last 10 minutes. This is so the dancers can concentrate on the teacher and not have any outside distractions. It helps to talk to your dancer (especially our young girls) and explain that she will be with her dance friends and that you will not be with her. She will feel more prepared and not surprised when you leave her in class that first time.

·        Meals are included. Dinner on the 7^th and lunch on the 8^th are included. We will have a special section of the eating area set aside so our girls can sit together. Of course, they can say hi to new friends they have met or other girls they know from Winner School or other studios. But we are trying to reinforce a team concept and help all the girls feel comfortable and included.

·        Classes. The girls will have classes in all aspects of dance – jazz, ballet, hip hop, etc. Please send all shoes with you dancer. Please no dance paws as our dancers cannot execute proper technique in them. Please label all shoes, bags, and clothing as there are lots of dancers and items do get misplaced. Dancers are allowed to wear any dance attire they choose. They may also wear their class outfits. They should wear their travel suits while outside of class to promote a professional appearance and team unity. Hair must be pulled back. Please refer to Dance Attack flyer for Jazz 1  class details. An extra copy can be picked up at the store.

·        Closing Ceremonies 2/8 @ 4:15 pm. Parents and friends are welcome and encouraged to come. The dancers will be showcasing what they learn during the convention.

Dance Attack Check List:

*  Label all shoes, bags, and clothing.

*  Bring all dance shoes and a pair of tennis shoes for hip hop.

*  Healthy snacks and a water bottle. String cheese, fruit, nuts, granola bars. This is a long day for our dancers. Please send snacks that will give them good, sustained energy.

*  Please talk to your dancer about good behavior and respect while in class. And please make sure they know that you will not be able to attend class so they can get comfortable with the idea.

*  A positive attitude is the best thing they can bring!! They will get so much out of this weekend if they work hard!!

3:00-4:00 M/W Daytime Classes

**The Snack Bar will be open for your convenience. This is a closed rehearsal so we ask parents to wait for their dancer in the Snack Bar. Thank you!

January 6th- Regular Classes Resume

January 11th- Dress Rehearsal for Progression Night. ALL DANCERS are asked to be there.
Monday & Wednesday Classes from 1:30-2:30
Tuesday and Thursday Classes from3:00-4:00
*** We ask parents to come into the Winner School Gym for the last 5 minutes of their dancer's rehearsal. Ms Emily will give all information on hair and make-up and answer any questions.
