• March 23rd $48 Thunderstruck competition registration fee due in The Winner School Store. ****A $10 late fee is added to all Thunderstruck fees paid after this date**** payment can be made by cash or check. Credit Cards can also be used to pay this fee, however a 2% convenience fee will be added.

Thunderstruck Dance Competition
(This applies to RZDZ 5K, RZDZ 5-7, RZDZ 7-10 classes)

RZDZ 5K, RZDZ 5-7, RZDZ 7-10 classes will participate in Thunderstruck Dance Competition on Saturday, April 25th at Wasatch Jr High located at 3750 S. 3100 E Salt Lake City, UT 84109.
This will be a great experience for your dancers.

To prepare for Thunderstruck, and our RZDZ tap production, we will have two mandatory Saturday rehearsals.   The first will be on March 21st, the second will be on April 11th.  We will also hold a competition hair and make up clinic for parents on March 21st.

March 21st Rehearsal Schedule:

RZDZ 5K M/W & RZDZ 5K T/TH: 11:00 am- 1:00 pm

RZDZ 5-7 T/TH & RZDZ 7-10 W/F: 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm

ALL parents of RZDZ 5K, RZDZ 5-7, RZDZ 7-10 dancers hair and make-up clinic: 12:00 pm- 12:45 pm


April 11th Rehearsal Schedule:

Updated Spring Break dates
To accommodate both of the school district Spring Break dates, Intro and RZDZ classes will have April 6th & 7th off of dance. This change is noted on the March 2015 class calendars.

Progression Night Countdown

We are so excited for our Progression Night Recital. Thank you for the tremendous turn out at rehearsal, and the fabulous class attendance this past week!

Important information for tomorrow:

Parking in The Winner School parking lot is LIMITED. We have been given permission to park in The Store parking lot or The Slavic Evangelical Baptist church parking lot.

All dancers should arrive in their class uniform, class hair bow, NO tights and tap shoes. They may wear white ankle socks with their tap shoes. They will be dropped off in room 4. The ONLY thing they should bring into room4 is their ballet shoes. Please keep their street clothing with you. This will help with smoother transitions and a less chaotic room. We have over 50 dancers involved in each performance.

Hair is at your discretion, as long as it pulled away from your dancers face. The hair bow can be placed at your discretion as well. If you do not already have your hair bow, it can be picked up in The Winner School Store. The store is open until 3 pm today, February 6th.

The Winner School snack bar will be open.

Seating is limited. Please be considerate with the number of people you invite.

Photography is welcome, as long as you stay in your seat. Please do not come in front of the front row to take pictures. The best vantage point for pictures may be standing in the back row.

M/W, Wednesday Only & W/F classes perform at 5:00 pm with a call time of 4:40 pm. Please have your dancer in room 4 no later than 4:40 pm. We will be starting at 5 pm sharp.

T/TH classes perform at 6:30 pm with a call time of 6:10 pm. Please have your dancer in room 4 no later than 6:10 pm. We will start at 6:30 pm.

Happy New Year! I hope everyone has enjoyed the Holiday Break! Calendars for January will be sent out the first week back in class. Here is a highlight of things to know for January:

CLASS ATTIRE:

• Please check your dancer's shoes. Some of our little dancers are complaining of shoes that are too tight.
• Please send your Dancers with their hair pulled back and out of their face, or send some hair bands with them. This is especially important for our RZDZ 5K, 5-7 & 7-10 classes.

FEES DUE IN THE WINNER SCHOOL STORE:

• The $10 fee for the Progression Night hair bow is due in The Winner School Store at your earliest convenience. (it was due December 18th)
• The $50 costume deposit is due by January 15th in The Winner School Store. This is for the Spring Showcase dance recital in May.

PROGRESSION NIGHT REHEARSAL & PERFORMANCE TIMES:

Dress rehearsal will take place on Saturday, January 31st in The Winner School Gym. Each class group will be given a half hour to 45 minutes blocks for practicing their combinations in The Winner School Gym. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your Dancer's class' allotted time. Have Dancers in their class uniform and bring ballet shoes AND tap shoes. We are trying to take up as little time of your Saturday morning as possible. We have broken up the rehearsals by classes to be as efficient as we can be.

• ALL Intro classes from 11:30 am- 12:00 pm
• ALL RZDZ 4 year old classes from 12:00 pm- 12:30 pm
• RZDZ 5K M/W class & RZDZ 5K T/TH class (Ms. Kira & Ms. Kellie's class)12:30 pm- 1:15 pm
• RZDZ T/TH 5-7 (Ms.Tracy & Ms. Emily's class) 1:15 pm- 2:00 pm
• RZDZ 7-10 from 1:15 pm- 2:00 pm

The Progression Night Recital will take place on two sessions on Saturday, February 7th in the Winner School Gym. These sessions are based on the DAYS your Dancer attends class. Dancers will wear their class uniform for the Progression Night Recital as well. They need their ballet shoes AND tap shoes.

Dancers who attend class on Monday & Wednesday, Wednesday Only, Wednesday & Friday:


Performance time: 5:00 pm, call time 4:40 pm


Dancers who attend class on Tuesday & Thursday:

Performance time: 6:30 pm, call time 6:10 pm
