Parent Meeting and 2016-17 Team Auditions
The parent meeting regarding auditions is tonight from 6 pm- 7 pm at The Winner School! Please come to get all of the important information about being part of our competitive teams for the 2016-17 dance season.

Auditions will take place on Tuesday, May 24th at The Winner School
Check-in--4:15 pm- 4:45 pm
Warm up--4:45 pm- 5:00 pm
Learn combo-- 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm
Auditions-- 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm

HOW TO DO A SOCK BUN // Youtube Hair Tutorial

The Motion Tour is finally here! Thank you for having 100% attendance on Saturday! The girls did an amazing job! It is so exciting for these dancers to have the opportunity to take all of their hard work in the classroom, to the stage!



This Youtube link is a great tutorial on how to do our "princess bun". As you can see it is a "rolled" bun, not a "twisted" bun. You can use a sock to achieve this look, or a hair donut, both will work.

Please make sure that you have ALL of your dancer's costume items in their competition bag. Please make sure your dancer's jazz shoes are in their bag. Make sure your dancer wears their Winner School RzDz T-shirt, it makes them easier to find. There is no admission to the competition, feel free to invite family to help cheer on your dancer! It is going to be a fun and exciting day!

Dress Rehearsal and Bag Check for RzDz 5K, RzDz 5-7 and RzDz 6-10 classes:

Dress Rehearsal and bag check will take place on Saturday, April 16th at The Winner School. Dancers need to change into their recital costume at The Winner School. Dancers do not need to wear make-up for this rehearsal, please have their hair pulled back in a ponytail or bun. Bag check will take place after the dress rehearsal, I expect bag check to take 10- 15 minutes.

RzDz 5K (M/W class) "Friend Like Me" (white top, pink shorts costume):
When you arrive place your bags in room 3, this is where your can change into your costume.
Rehearsal time 11:00 am- 11:45 am, Parents may come in the last 5 minutes to watch the last run through of their dance.
Bag check will be immediately after in room 3

RzDz 5K (T/TH class) "Dear Future Husband" (polka dot costume):
When you arrive place your bags in room 3, this is where you can change into your costume.
Rehearsal time is 11:45 am- 12:30 pm, Parents may come in the last 5 minutes to watch the last run through of their dance.
Bag check will be immediately after in room 3

RzDz 5-7 (T/TH class) "All Shook Up" (red glitter heart costume):
When you arrive place your bags in room 3, this is where you can change into your costume.
Rehearsal time is 12:30 pm- 1:15 pm, Parents may come in the last 5 minutes to watch the last run through of their dance.
Bag check will be immediately after in room 3.

RzDz 6-10 (W/F class) "Red Balloon" (blue costume):
When you arrive place your bags in room 3, this is where you can change into your costume.
Rehearsal time is 1:15 pm- 2:00 pm, Parents may come in the last 5 minutes to watch the last run through of their dance.
Bag check will be immediately after in room 3.

***Below is the list of call times for Motion Tour.  It is IMPERATIVE that you are ON TIME!  We need dancers there with plenty of time to warm-up and prepare before going on stage.  In many cases, competitions will run ahead of schedule…for some, it is not unusual to be an entire hour ahead!  SO PLEASE BE ON TIME***

#305- “Dear Future Husband” ( RZ DZ 5k T/TH) – 7:30am

#313- “Friend Like Me” (RZ DZ 5k M/W) – 8:00am

#381 – “Red Balloon”(RZ DZ 6-10) – 11:30

#387 – “All Shook Up” (RZ DZ 5-7) – 11:45

*Awards call time for the above routines- 2:15.  Please wear your WS travel gear*

 

·         Please arrive at your call time with your hair and makeup completely done.
·         You need to wear your team travel gear to and from competition, and during the award ceremonies. NOT your dance costume, you will change into your dance costume once we have warmed up! You may want to wait to apply the lipstick until after we have changed into our costumes.

For those of you looking for a hotel to stay in overnight on Friday, here are a couple of suggestions that are within 5 miles of Ogden High School (the venue for The Motion Tour):

Spring GP Pictures: GP Pictures are coming up soon! Classes that attend Tuesday/Thursday will have pictures taken on Tuesday, April 5th. Classes that attend Monday/Wednesday, Wednesday Only, or Wednesday/Friday will have pictures taken on Wednesday, April 6th. Pictures are taken during regular class time. There will be no regular class on the day of pictures. Dancers will be excused immediately after individual and group pictures are taken. Dancers will wear their recital costume. All groups will wear a "princess bun" for Spring pictures, along with coordinating hair pieces. Intros (3 year olds) and RzDz 4 classes, please bring both ballet and tap shoes. Make-up is at your discretion. For the RzDz 5K, RzDz 5-7, and RzDz 6-10 classes please have competition make-up.
Pictures must be ordered, and paid for, prior to individual pictures being taken. Please bring your child regardless of your intent to purchase pictures, we want the entire class to be represented in the group photo. Order form sheets will be sent home the week prior to pictures, extras will be available at the time of photos being taken.
